Andrea Upton - Andrea is currently a law student at the University of Pacific - McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California, and a graduate of Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California. After graduating college, Andrea briefly worked in a lab at the California Institute of Technology before deciding to leave to gain industry experience and ultimately pursue a career in business and intellectual property law. But the path to her position here at Parravano Witten wasn't as direct as she originally thought it would be.

A native of Clovis, California, Andrea moved to the Monterey Bay Area after college and accepted a technical writing position with a biological research company. She also accepted a part time position at a hotel to fill her spare time, which grew into a full time position assisting the Food & Beverage Director at the hotel and coordinating and supervising catered events. She continued on in business operations, taking positions at Cheyenne Mountain resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the Highlands Inn in Carmel, and Pebble Beach Resorts. During the last few years, her desire for learning led her to the study of wine. Thanks to the guidance of dedicated mentors, Andrea passed the Advanced Sommelier exam in April, 2008. Shortly thereafter, she accepted a position with an import and distribution company based in San Francisco. However, a life on the road didn't suit her well, and Andrea soon contemplated returning to her original plan after college of using her business experience and scientific background to pursue a legal career. An understanding of business operations in the local community and her analytical background have proved to be essential tools to her position with Parravano Witten.

Andrea's plans to pursue a career in transactional and regulatory law after graduation. She continues to study and enjoy wine, and spends the rest of her spare time hiking and exploring the Sierra Foothills with her dog, Cash.
